Becoming real estate agents was not something either of us thought was possible after beginning our careers, and God showed us how it was possible.
Kameron knew that Kristy was the woman he was supposed to marry after dating for 6 months. He proposed, she said yes, and 3 months later, we bought our first home. To say we tend to move quickly may be an understatement! Our real estate agent at the time told us she didn’t think it was possible to move in by the end of the year. We made it happen and moved in on December 23, 2013.
Fast forward a couple of years. At this point, we had Ava, our Bernese mountain dog, and welcomed our daughter, Malia, into the world. We were fixing up our house and getting ready to sell. Our house was always a construction zone. We may or may not have had a kitchen sink sitting on our living room floor for an undisclosed amount of time! Our daughter used to fall asleep to the sound of an air compressor running. It seemed normal to her because we renovated throughout Kristy's pregnancy.
We both put our Bachelor’s degrees to good use. As comfortable as it was to continue working a corporate job, we loved the idea of starting our own company someday. While fixing up our second home, we decided to set up a couple of businesses. They both revolved around helping people with their homes.
Even though we were not in the market to buy, we looked at new listings often. Our approach was: “You never know when the perfect home will be available to buy!” Work was going well, but we both found ourselves drawn to real estate. Anytime a friend or family member was looking for a house, we’d start sending them homes that we found that seemed like a good fit for them.
A couple more years passed, and our dream of starting our own business seemed to be slipping away. We were getting more and more ingrained in our careers. We kept paying the State of Michigan to renew our business registration, without any progress. Each day we woke up and went to work. Our minds were consumed with how to help the companies we worked for improve and thrive, instead of planning how we would get started on our own business ventures.
Finally, God decided it was time to force the issue. The company that Kameron had spent ten years with had eliminated his position after a record sales year. People asked, aren’t you devastated? He just laughed because it seemed to make sense. He decided to dive into Real Estate and Construction and obtained a license for both. Kristy joined him about a year later, got her real estate license, and quit her steady income corporate job so we could go all in.
We believe that God provided both of us with opportunities and experiences that have prepared us to help others navigate the buying and selling process.
Kameron worked in the mortgage industry for many years, leading a team of mortgage originators. He spent a total of 10 years in the banking industry. He also has many years of experience in the construction industry and is currently a licensed general contractor.
Kristy used her degree in ISM Management at Whirlpool Corporation and has a Six Sigma Black Belt certification with 11 years in supply chain-related and continuous improvement roles. All that to say, Kristy is very process and systems-focused.
Our prior experience positions us well to help others navigate through all things Real Estate, and we would love the opportunity to help you.
We commit to integrity, quality, growth, and Helping You Find Home.
